Salma Hayek

The reason why I portray celebs like this is because it's good practise. As they're all quite beautiful they have a lot of facial features in common, symmetrie and structure. It's not really easy to get the portrait right with minimal useful photo material (as they never are exactly how I would like it). So it's in the smallest details to get it really look like the 'model' and working with limitations is challenging as well. I haven't done many portraits of this sort and Lucy Liu and Monica Bellucci were the first after a long lull between now and when I started being serious as an artist.
